2022-2023 Winter Shelter

Winter Shelter will be the same as last year and be available for when severe winter conditions hit are area. The Plateau Ministerial Association, in partnership with Plateau Outreach Ministries and other community organizations, will host and staff the shelter, to provide emergency shelter for those in need from December 1st, 2022 to February 28th, 2023.

The shelter, which will be open from 7pm to 7am, will be hosted at Hope Lutheran Church and will be open during severe winter conditions. Severe weather conditions are defined as when temperatures fall below 32 degrees for 24 or more consecutive hours and/or snow accumulation exceeds, or is expected to exceed 3 inches. This determination will be made in partnership with the city of Enumclaw.

Along with a place to sleep, the guests receive both dinner and breakfast in a warm, caring environment. Pre-screened guests, who have successfully passed a background check, can stay at the shelter. The shelter can house up to 20 guests on a first come, first serve basis.
